PanOxyl: Acnegel 10% Keratolytic/Anti-Acne!~

Good morning!!! :D Today’s review is about my trusted acne-fighting friend since high school :> kekeke~ It’s PanOxyl Acnegel! :D Whenever I get huge I mean  ENORMOUS pimples I just use this and I get my pimple cured fast!

PanOxyl contains 10% benzoyl peroxide, an ingredient recommended by dermatologists for the treatment of severe acne (pimples) with numerous lesions and body acne (usually found on the chest and back). PanOxyl combats pimples through its antibacterial action and peeling (desquamative) effect. The gel base also assists rapid absorption into the skin.

It comes in a tube which is really hygienic! Don’t wanna get more pimples ~,~

Howto Use:

  1. Apply to affected area (not just on top of the pimple) after washing your face.
  2. Wait for it to dry (you’ll feel a slight tingling sensation)
  3. Sleep :)

Caution:

To be used once everyday :D

There may be moderate redness, peeling or itching over the first few days of use. This indicates that PanOxyl is working.

Before, During and After Photos! :D

Warning: pimple photo ahead~

I put on PanOxyl at night before going to bed

1. Huge pimple; 2. Waited for it to dry before going to sleep; 3. The next morning the gel was dried :D; 4. Dried Pimple! <3

PanOxyl comes in different strengths: 2.5% (mild acne, for blackheads and whiteheads), 5% (mild to moderate acne, for blackheads, whiteheads and inflamed lesions) and 10% (severe acne)

It is recommended that those with sensitive skin should start with the lowest strength.

Personally I like use the 10% formulation because it has more effect on my skin, when I tried using the lowest formulation nothing happens @.@ Hello ultra NOT-sensitive skin :))

PROS:

  • dries pimple fast!
  • no annoying smell
  • readily available (watsons/ mercury drug :D)
  • has different formulations to suit different needs :)
  • can be used for acne on body
  • has never failed me :)
  • prevents new pimple from forming
  • cheap and effective (195 a 10g tube :D)

CONS:

  • may sting (but won’t hurt that much~)

Erika’s Weather Forecast: tetris battle = will not finish hw @.@
